PSIG 49: Thursday October 4th, 2001

We're trying something new this meeting: a debate. The topic is Perl: Super Spiffy or Spawn of Satan?

Bradley Slavik will argue "super spiffy" -- that Perl is a great language that everyone should get to know. I will argue "spawn of satan" -- that Perl is a horrible language that should be banished from the planet. What's interesting is that we could easily invert our arguments. I see plenty of neat stuff in Perl, while Bradley is well-aware of many Perl misfeatures.

We'll take a vote at the end of the debate and decide once and for all if Perl is a Jedi or Darth Vader himself
