PSIG 38: Thursday October 5th, 2000
Attendance: 5 It was a wicked night -- dark, cold, raining and baaad traffic. I'm blaming the night's general ickiness for the low turn-out. I gave a presentation on the guts of Mac OS X. First we went around the block with Mach, touched on the IOKit and strolled through the Virtual File System. Up we went to Core Service/Core Foundation and then higher to Application services and finally an extremely brief treatment of Carbon and Cocoa. Chris Hanson was around to fill in the gaps of my knowledge, including some very interesting OS history (MacMach anyone?). Thursday, October 05, 2000
