For Show & Tell I showed off the application version of Whose Tag Is It Anyway?, my HTML preprocessor which uses AppleScript on the backend.

Darrin Cardani showed off his Effects Pack #3. He tried showing it off at last month's meeting, however it kept crashing. It turned out his C code had a variable with the same name as a function, and he was testing the function, which always returned true. That lead to his plugin trying to execute AltiVec code when AltiVec wasn't available. Ouch.

For the main presentation, Chris Hanson spoke about WebObjects, Apple's dynamic web site creation tool. Chris is building a business on WebObjects, so he knows a little something about it.

Running X Server off this 1998 PowerBook with WebObjects 4.5, Chris gave a great detailed overview of WebObjects, capping it off by creating a working multiuser bulletin board system. He used FrontBase on the backend and Java to code the logic. Very cool.
